President's Greetings

Transport system matters. It determines the development progress of a country, a region, or a city. Modern nations are indicated by a sound and advanced transport system, including integrated infrastructure, service, and technology in transport-related areas. A good and reliable public transport system is always the significant element of an advanced transport system.

Indonesia, an archipelago nation with 267 million populations, continues to accelerate its transportation system as an effort to boost economic growth and social welfare. ITS is a part of this process by contributing to encourage the presence of an intelligent transportation system in various aspects.

In order to support national development, ITS Indonesia plays a role as a platform for the development of smart mobility and a digital transport ecosystem that promotes economic growth, social welfare, and environmental sustainability. In doing so, there are five key areas of collaboration and programs that ITS Indonesia is currently embarking on, namely:
1) promoting digital transformation in transport development;
2) enhancing integrated urban transport system;
3) facilitating smart driving and logistics;
4) promoting electric transport;
5) creating safety and healthy mobility.

ITS Indonesia's role starts from policy advisory, facilitating research, development, and training, providing a platform for big data and information systems, facilitating and endorsing standards, and also promoting collaboration and marketplace among actors and stakeholders.

On this occasion, I would like to invite colleagues, partners, and parties who are interested in participating for smart mobility development in Indonesia to collaborate and work together with us, ITS Indonesia.

Let us perform our most contribution to change the transport system and make it work to advance the country, the region, and the world.
